Some facts about Alan and that year

This was a great year in which Alan showed tremendous potential. Some massive battles between him and the late Tony Brise took place with Alan coming out on top on most days. David Morgan also drove for me in the GP support race and finished second to Alan giving me a splendid clean sweep of the two top places. Its the last time I ever drove a race car as I drove David's car round on the parade lap after the race

Many old friends no longer with us

That 1974 year was very special to me as we had a wonderful time with March and Robin Herd was very supportive of the team and was great help with the sorting of the car throughout the season. Bernie Ecclestone said to me at the Grand Prix...."You've got a hell of a driver there Harry" and..."He's going to be a Champion". We were both right as it subsequently turned out. The following year we were in F1 and I got a big helping hand from Bernie to do it. The same year my son Lucas was born and that made it the year of years for me.
